Queen Billi Jo Shank

Queen Billi Jo is a 19 year old Freshman at Indiana State University.  She is majoring in Nursing with aspirations of furthering her education in Healthcare by becoming a Dr. of Podiatry.  

Queen Billi Jo is one of three children of Sherri and Bill Shank.  She has two sisters, Amanda Gouty of Danville and Kyla Leahy of Nashville Tennessee.  Living in Danville, Billi gets to spend lots of time with her 4 year old niece Lydia and now a new nephew!  She is employed as a Brand Representative for Hollister in Terre Haute.

At Danville High School Queen Billi Jo was on a winning Softball Team and Volleyball team where she received an Athletic letter and was a Big 12 Conference Academic Scholar.  She was also on the National Honor Society, plus a member of the Key club and AVID receiving an AVID Outstanding Student Scholarship.  Billi Jo also received the Jean Medaris Memorial Scholarship which is a yearly scholarship.

Queen Billi Jo is dedicated to volunteering!  She loves her work with the Danville AMBUCS Summer Camps, the RCC of Vermilion County, St. James Methodist Church Food Pantry as well as other events in Vermilion County.  

Halloween is her favorite holiday – especially Haunted Houses!  On any given rainy day you will find Queen Billi Jo binge watching a NETFLIX series, the Chicago Cubs of course – FLY THE W!  

Look for Queen Billi Jo throughout the year at many events in Vermilion County!  She is especially looking forward to the  “A Fair Tale Come True…Lunch with the Georgetown Fair Queen” in March!   


4th Runner Up-Miss Illinois County Fair Pageant!

Queen Heather is a 17 year old Senior at Hoopeston Area High School.  Plans to attend the University of Illinois College of Fine and Applied Arts majoring in Art education with a minor in Music Education in the fall of 2018.

Queen Heather lives in Hoopeston Illinois with her parents Dona and Richard Simpson, with one brother Ian, and one sister Megan.  And of course their dachshund Wrigley!    As you can tell by the name of their puppy, they are AVID CUBS FANS – Fly the W!!!



                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  With a spirited love of the Arts, Queen Heather will be found this year participating in the Hoopeston Area Show Choir, Cornjerker Color Guard with the Marching Band, as well as playing in the Jazz Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, and look for her working with the Fall Play and Spring Musical this year at HAHS!   

At Hoopeston Area High School, Queen Heather is an inductee of the National Honor Society,  has Thespian status in her Drama Club, has been the Outstanding Performer at the Manteno Main Event Show Choir Competition and Outstanding Color Guard Member.  

 As a 4-H member, Queen Heather received the Celebrity Choice Award at the Illinois State Fair in Cake Decorating in 2015 and the Superior Award in 2015 and 2016 in Cake Decorating at the Illinois State Fair.  This is no surprise as Queen Heather owns and operates her own Cake Decorating business called “Sweet Pixie Treats“!  For all your confectionary needs just call Queen Heather for a delicious treat!

Queen Heather will be attending many events in Vermilion County so make sure you say “Hello” if you see her throughout the year!

Please Joins us in congratulating Heather for her 4th Runner Up placement in the Miss Illinois County Fair Pageant!  Queen Heather competed with 70 other Illinois  County Fair Queens in the four day event!  She is the first Georgetown Fair Queen to bring home the 4th Runner Up Award!

Queen Sarah is a 16 year old Senior at the Berean Grace Homeschool Academy and plans to enter the University of Illinois College of Media majoring in Advertising with a minor in Public Relations.

Queen Sarah lives in Fairmount with her parents Steven and Darla Sigmon and she has a brother Jacob  currently a Sophomore at the University of Illinois.


Through her love of Volunteerism, Queen Sarah has worked with the Vermilion County Conservation District as a Hostess of the Kennekuk Education Building, the Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon, University of Illinois Campus and Community Day and at the Festival of Trees at the 22 Foot Book Tree!  Queen Sarah loves watching classic movies, playing her mandolin and violin, researching  family genealogy and all things Christmas!

Her many Awards and Honors include being a member of the National Honors Society of High School Scholars, National Society of the Children of the American Revolution, and is sponsored for membership as a Daughters of the American Revolution Society.  Queen Sarah is very proud of her ACT Composite score of 27 out of 36 and her ACT English score of 32 out of 36.

You can look for Queen Sarah this year in parades and hostessing/attending many activities and events throughout Vermilion County and Illinois!

About Queen Sierra…

Queen Sierra is a 21 year old nursing student at Danville Area Community College Nursing Program.  She presently has a Medical Assistant Degree Certificate and two years she will be a Registered Nurse hopefully working at one of the Danville Carle Clinic Doctors Office Locations.  Her parents are Crystal and Rusty Dicken from Westville Illinois.

Queen Sierra is presently the City Clerk of Chrisman, Il.  Christmas Barbie has been a present from her Grandpa for the past 21 years!  She loves her family and keeps dates with her Grandpa every Thursday night for dinner and makes many late night trips to Royal Donut with her brother Rusty Lee!  Loves baking with her Mom and walking her dog.  On the flip side of Queen Sierra she has been a Barrel Racer and you can find her in a tree stand during bow and gun season hunting deer!

So as you can see Queen Sierra is a busy woman with her schooling, family, and her fair family!  You can see her in parades and many community events during 2016~~
