The Pageant Directors, Karen and Jill, are gearing up for a great 2009 Miss Georgetown Fair Pageant. Queen Rachael will be home from Central College in Pella, Iowa soon to continue her reign with a whirlwind summer representing the Georgetown Fair! There will be parades, festivals, and as many county fair pageants as can fit into her schedule. And of course, as sad as it might be, preparing for the 2009 Pageant as Queen Rachael will be passing her crown on to the new Miss Georgetown Fair 2009.
The Georgetown Fair Pageant has grown from that first year in 1960 to one of the largest Fair Pageants in the state of Illinois. Each year we are amazed with the poise, intelligence, and speaking ability of our contestants. Our scholarship has also grown as well as our prize list and its value (2 diamond rings, silver ingots, coin sets, etc.), and the savings bonds.
Three of our past queens have developed two seperate scholarships, Families Are Forever and Leap Into Your Community Scholarships, that have a value of $100 and $150 that can also be won by any of the contestants.

The first Georgetown Queen to become the “Illinois State Fair Queen“!
Please join us on our journey to choose the 49th Miss Georgetown Fair Queen. Our first meeting the “Queen’s Tea” will be held at the Georgetown Fair Banquet and Conference Center on July 12th, 2009 at 2:00.
